Adam Lamparelloabout this book: In Ten-Mile Morning: My Journey through Anorexia Nervosa, I share my five-year battle with anorexia, which began after years of struggling with personal and professional trauma. I wrote Ten-Mile Morning with the hope that those who are struggling with eating disorders (as well as addiction, trauma, and other challenges) would relate to my story, feel inspired, and believe that full recovery is possible. The first half of Ten-Mile Morning details the personal issues and events that led to my eating disorder.
The second half focuses on my recovery, including the insights and life lessons that I learned during the healing process. The final chapter culminates with the coping skills and tools that enabled me to experience both a sustained recovery and self-acceptance. I hope that my book can make a difference. I want my readers to know that, whatever circumstances they may face, achieving the life of your dreams is always possible. I am currently writing a second book, entitled "Purge: Life After Anorexia," which further discusses the psychology underlying recovery and the things that allowed me to break free from an eating eating disorder and, ultimately, an unhappy life.
