J. Richardsonabout this book: The research of writing a book is absolutely my favorite part. When I write, I travel with the reader and I want to know all of the details of where we are going. In The Days After (Far View), from the high plateau of Mesa Verde in the four corners area of New Mexico to the coast of Texas, Will and Maggie and friends are pushed into a world they are unfamiliar with. The same background as my other dystopian novels, the premise that an EMP has taken out all of the power grid, continues. All of my novels, with the exception of the first two of the No Normal Day series, deal with situations many years after a catastrophic event. In this story, the characters have lived a protected life for fifteen years in the haven of a government bunker. When the companions are forced from the sanctuary by unexpected events, they will be tested in an America that like the rest of the world is far from restored. They discover what is happening in their country in the years after a fall and they must survive to find a new home of their own creation. I enjoyed the journey with these people that I "had never met before" and hope my readers will join the adventure.
