R. K. Sidlerabout this book: Muterra is a dystopian science-fiction/fantasy novel.
The story gives center stage to Keith Bishop, later known simply as Bishop when surnames have little meaning, a survivor of the "Great Event," who learns of the treachery of his country, the ruthlessness of his father, and the reality of the new world that awaits those who survived below ground. Unlike other novels of this genre, Bishop was not prophesied, or destined, to assume the role he was given. He is, however, well-suited to assume the responsibility with his confident and competent manner.
Imagine planet earth being "re-born" as it was many millions of years before, through a series of cataclysmic events that not only change the environment, but also the landscape. Those who are fortunate enough to escape the terrifying events of the surface, survive in subterranean shelters and have had to adjust to life in artificial light. Those who lived through the "Great Event" above ground, are faced with the harsh realities of their new world. When Bishop has lost everything that was important to him, at the hands of the few working to establish the perfect new world, he is forced to adjust to a life he has never known, determined to administer his own brand of justice.
