Steven Williamsabout this book: A short story of loss, grief and a son's hope filled dream.
Simon is devastated by the sudden death of his mother – his whole life falls apart around him.
In an inebriated dream, Simon desperately tries to forewarn his mother of her illness in an attempt to save her life and turn his own life around.
Fiction? Well, the first half of the story is based upon what I went through at the loss of my mother – and getting it down on paper went a long way towards helping me forgive myself.
The rest? The rest is based upon a 'what if' daydream that I would often entertain during my low moments after mum's death – the ending always brought tears to my eyes, and a smile to my face... still does.
Fiction? You decide, either way I know my mother would have enjoyed the story. And seeing herself on the cover of a book, albeit an ebook, would have kept her talking about it for years to come.
