David Abareabout this book: This is a book about main character, Stephen Alexander, who saves a little girl and after suffering an injury and resulting coma awakes to realize he's become a national celebrity because of his actions. The book explores the relationship with his mother and the pain in losing his father, as well as his troubled relationships with women. Throughout the story, Stephen wrestles with his newfound fame while trying to reconcile some of his behavior and how that may be viewed by his new "fans". As many first novels do, this comes from a somewhat autobiographical place, although the story itself is entirely a work of fiction.
The novel follows Stephen on a journey of self discovery, understanding and forgiveness and is approx 113k words that took me just over months to complete, which is a process that I truly loved though also took me to the extremes of many of my emotions. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please recommend to a friend!
