about this book: This is a story about a girl learning to deal with her own attitudes when she gets involved with a guy in a wheelchair. It was inspired by hearing about a young man with no legs who was a champion in wheelchair racing. The male main character is a guy who takes charge of his life and faces any challenges head on. The title comes from a bit of dialogue in the story that fits the theme.
The cover reflects the attitudes of the two main characters and shows the wheelchair in the setting in which part of the story takes place. It took quite a bit of research to learn all the issues with which people who have disabilities have to face. I talked to several people and did a lot of reading.
Through the humor in the story I hope readers will take a look at their own thoughts and feelings when dealing with someone is not exactly the same as they are.
