I'm more than aware that all forms of diabetes can be tough on someone, especially type 1, having type 1 means that we didn't bring on to our selves, indeed it is hereditary, thus meaning that you didn't have a choice in the matter, and it is a disease that you realise you have for life.
This can cause deep psychological impacts, depression for example.
When on the occasions you just can't get on top of your diabetes and it seems that it's running away from you, your may be screaming in your head; why me? why can't I keep control of this disease? You become frustrated, which in turn "drags" down your spirit.
In truth, it doesn't have to be this way for you; I myself have been a type 1 diabetic for 14 years, the reason I'm telling you this is because, yes there are support networks for you out there; be it your family, doctor, health care team.
This is great to have people like this around you but, unless they're living with the condition on a daily basis; they'll never really get to grips with how you're feeling.
You may feel that you want to reach out to someone that's going through exactly what you're, because you may feel that although you've a support network around you, you've never really felt more isolated and alone.
I'm looking forward to giving you my perspective on type 1 diabetes, and sharing with you the tips and tricks that I've discovered over the years to make my ride with condition a lot smoother.
If you're seeking guidance and answers to those questions you've floating around in your head, then I'd like to stop searching because I want to make your journey with diabetes a lot easier.
