Ed Hallidayabout this book: Weight, it's an obsession the world over. Everywhere we look. Every magazine, TV show and radio station is telling us that the human race needs to slim down. We are continually warned about heart disease, diabetes and all sorts of conditions linked to obesity. Then of course there are the celebrities. The mantra is that you can't be attractive unless you are slim, fat is ugly they shout.
So what if someone found a simple solution to this?
What if some scientist came up with a Magic Ingredient that suddenly made us all thin?
Can we really all be thin while eating whatever we want?
This dark humor work of fiction explores the impact this might really have, not only on the human race but also on the inventor.
As a 'not slim at all' person myself, I decided to write this book to try and induce a sense of reality into the great slimming debate. I hate the stigma being attached to my waist size. Overweight people can also be beautiful, and attractive.
I hope you enjoy the story, and maybe after reading it you might decide that being thin is not so great after all!
