Ed Hallidayabout this book: As a British author reviewers constantly refer to my 'great English sense of humor" and Breakfast at Sid's is no exception.
This dark humor story follows the main character, Sidney Angel, through a twenty four hour period in his fairly grim life as he battles his way through personal issues including alcoholism to complete a series of tasks that he has been forced to complete by a London gangster he owes a favour to.
The other main character in the story is his newly acquired dog, Wilson, who is the only witness he has as to what happened to his daughter, a mystery that Sidney has been trying to solve for some time.
The duo set about their task and along the way have numerous brushes with the law, criminals and a damsel in distress or two.
Although there are a lot of gangsters and a bit bloodshed the story is written in a lighthearted and comical way, so the squeamish need not be concerned.
Hope you enjoy the book.
