Diana J. Febryabout this book: The story opens with the discovery of the body of a girl reported missing twenty years ago from a near by town. The plot follows the police investigation which starts to stir up memories in the sleepy cotswold village of Birkbury. Personal skeletons are rattled and relationships start to founder undr the strain of the police attention. Tensions are raised when potential witnesses and suspects start to disappear or become involved in strange car accidents.
This was my first book and I learnt a great deal about the art of writing through the many re writes of the original concept. As a first time author I was proud of the finished article.
I wrote the book in early 2011 but it was mid 2012 until it was re worked into a publishable form. I would like the thank the staff at Wingsepress who saw some worth in my ramblings and helped me turn my dream into a reality.
I hope my readers will enjoy the story and experience the flavour of a close knit rural community.
