Jennifer S. Aldersonabout this book: Paris—the city of love, lights … and murder? Join tour guide Lana Hansen on an unforgettable Valentine-themed vacation to France! Unfortunately it will be the last trip for one guest…
Introducing Lana Hansen, tour guide, reluctant amateur sleuth, and star of the Travel Can Be Murder Cozy Mystery Series. Join Lana as she leads tourists and readers to fascinating cities around the globe on intriguing adventures that, unfortunately for Lana, often turn deadly.
This is a series of heartwarming stories about friendship, travel, and celebrating new experiences. Books 3 and 4 in the Travel Can Be Murder Cozy Mystery Series will also be released in 2020!
Let's get to know Lana better. Are you an amateur or professional sleuth and whom do you work with?
LANA: Amateur all the way. And to be clear, I don’t enjoy playing detective. But when a guide or guest dies on one of my tours, it is my responsibility to ensure their body makes it home, as well as keep tabs on the police’s investigations –if they suspect foul play. My boss likes to be kept in the loop as much as possible. She has a serious aversion to giving refunds and wants to know all the facts, in case guests come to her complaining!
Because I am with the others all day long, I have been privy to information the police were not and was able to solve the cases before they could! My old editor, Jeremy, has helped me research some of my guest’s backgrounds, and has even provided vital information that lead to the unmasking of a killer.
In a few sentences, what is a typical day in your life like?
LANA: Wanderlust Tours last anywhere from seven to fourteen days and are primarily for older, wealthier Seattleites who are long on money and short on time. When I’m leading a tour, my guests’ happiness is my main priority. Most are lovely people who want to explore the world, but don’t want to travel solo. Others are tagging along for the ride and not as enthusiastic about the cities we are visiting as I would hope. I feel pretty spoiled being able to travel around Europe and stay in luxurious hotels, eat at top-notch restaurants, and go on fascinating day trips with my guests. I was not certain it would be a good fit for me, but now that I’ve been at it a while, I really enjoy leading tours and can’t wait to visit several new destinations this year!
