Christa Nardiabout this book: Holiday themes are great fun, and the fourth in the Cold Creek Series revolves around a community theater production of the classic A Christmas Carol. Students in the Fine Arts Department of Cold Creek College get credit for participation in various productions, and some of the students have been involved with the community theater for several years. As is oft the case, sometimes with changes in directors, what was once a great experience loses its luster. Someone's solution here was a bit extreme and said director is murdered. Unfortunately, a student from Cold Creek College is arrested for the murder. There are personal conflicts and work conflicts with how the college administration want to deal with the situation to save face, and student issues. Somehow, Sheridan and her friends have to identify the killer so the show can go on.
I enjoy community theater and how it allows both creative outlets and opportunities for youth to explore and grow. The start of the community theater and variations is pretty interesting. And who doesn't like Scrooge?
