Book: The Door by Y I Leecategories: Book, Novella, Intrigue, Deception, Death, Cozy Mystery
Y I Leeabout this book: Renee could only watch as her sister Cadi slowly deteriorated.
Why would someone once so full of life, suddenly become sick and in need of constant care?
What caused Cadi's husband Ted to fall ill and suddenly die?
And what was behind the small locked door in the library?
Renee had so many questions and as yet no answers.
Nevertheless, she knew something was wrong, and was determined to uncover the truth. But what she didn't know was the truth would be more shocking than she could have imagined.
The Door is a novella,a cosy mystery. It was inspired by a picture I painted a few years ago.The painting also inspired the title of the book. Overall, the book took a couple of years to write. I had to spend some time researching poisons.I needed something that worked slowly.
The Door, is the perfect book to curl up with by the fire, when the nights are cold.
Or while relaxing by the pool in the summer sunshine.
Review: This novel scatters hints and clues to make you query the events and characters actions, as well as planting suspicions in your mind to draw you deeper into life at Five Acres. — Lesley Mackness
