Dianne Harmanabout this book: After more than 50 years, Americans are finally going to be able to travel to Cuba again. My husband and I were fortunate enough to recently spend some time on a Cuban island with a world renowned fishing guide. Cuba is gearing up for an American tourist onslaught and our guide wanted to be THE guide Americans used. When he asked my husband if he'd like to accompany him to Cuba, there was no hesitancy on our part. It really is a country of cigars, world-class beaches, salsa dancing, and brilliant colors.
A cat is a central part of the story and while people have told me that there aren't many cats in Cuba, there were several at the resort where we stayed. They liked to walk through the open-air restaurant and see if anyone would give them treat.
I'm told the fishing was fabulous, but I spent most of my time in my hotel room looking out at the Caribbean Sea and writing this book. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I enjoyed the write.
Although the book is a novel, there are elements of it that are factual. Truly, a murder in paradise!
