This story was inspired after reading the Thoughtless series and The Mighty Storm series. I wanted to write a rocker book that instead of just saying the character has heavy baggage their trying to deal with, show the back story helping readers connect with the character. My friend Sonja who I dedicated the book to lost her husband in Afghanistan and inspired the beginning of my novel.
I spoke with her while preparing to start the book to get the military part accurate and the emotions Brittan felt while going through while Cane was deployed, when being informed of his death and coping with the loss after his death.I wanted to make sure everything was as accurate as possible for anyone who's lost a loved one over seas can read and be happy that I made the story as realistic as possible.
I came up with Tempt My Heart when I was trying to think of a good title for a woman who swore off love an then has a man walk into her life she can't resist he tempts her heart to open up an feel again.
I hope my readers connect with Brittan and Jordon in this book the way I did an my beta readers did. I poured my heart and soul into this story and love how it turned out. it's an amazing story of love and loss and learning to love again.
what to read next: if you read and liked this book...
