T. Michelleabout this book: Tabitha struggles with her perceptions of herself and the life she wishes to lead. Separating herself from her family and friends, she takes a job in Austin, two hours from her home. But she never makes it to her fresh new start. Instead, a storm drives her off the roads and in to the mouth of a protective canine. And just when she thinks matters can’t get worse, her doctor exhibits signs of an attraction that she just can’t deal with. Tabitha would rather convince herself that it’s her destiny to be less-than than to believe she deserves better. But fate and a strong-willed man are determined to prove otherwise.
This story, to me, represents the common trials we put ourselves through and how hard (and misleading) we can be on ourselves. Instead of being taught to believe, many of us are taught to doubt, to hesitate, by our families, our environments and our experiences along the way.
