Ellie Keatonabout this book: This is the fictional story of how 9/11 impacted the daughter of a fireman. He died in the towers and at first she wasn't impressed with him. To everyone else he was a hero but to her, he had deserted her and put strangers above the needs of his family. She doesn't trust herself or those around her and is rebelling in all sorts of ways. Then she meets a guy who is different from all the rest and maybe just maybe she has a chance at happiness, if she doesn't blow it first.
This book took a steamier path than the previous books in the series but then we are dealing with younger characters, a girl in college and a drummer so it made sense for them to work out some of their issues in the bedroom or at the beach...
I was inspired to write this book after reading how the children affected by that dreadful day were coping in a world that has moved on. There are so many different events on the news that people can forget that these kids live 9/11 over and over again. I love writing and people seem to like my stories but I want more. I want to do something for these kids and for others affected by terrorism throughout the world so I donate 15% of the net profits from the sale of these books to Tuesday's Children.
