Book: Tuscan Enchantment by Kate Zarrellicategories: Book, Italy, Tuscany, Vineyards, Mountains, Contemporary Romance
Kate Zarrelliabout this book: This book was inspired by the landscape, the people and the history of the Lunigiana region of northern Tuscany, between the Apuan Alps and the Tyrhennian Sea, which is where I have been living for the last thirteen years. The message of the book? Love conquers all. It's a contemporary romance with a gorgeous, sexy hero and a resilient, beautiful heroine and judging by what my readers tell me, appeals to all ages, and whatever sex, though marketers would probably categorise it as 'women's fiction' - I'd say it's for anyone who loves a happy ending, achieved against all odds, with a captivating setting as a backdrop. The book's own publication story is a happy ending in itself...I wrote it not in Italy but in much colder Scotland, back in the 1990s. The disk was lost for many years until my lovely Italian husband found it (yep, he's another story!), converted it, and said, 'why don't you look at this again?' I did, eXtasy Devine Destinies loved it, and here we are, with a magnificent cover design by Martine Jardin.
Here's what some of Tuscan Enchantment's reviewers have said:
'I really enjoyed this book - total escapism! The author really manages to make you feel like you're in Tuscany with the characters, her description of the lovely countryside is so realistic - almost as good as a holiday!'
'Kate Zarelli breathes Tuscan warmth and perfume into the pages of the story. The erotic scenes are intense and sensuous with none of the lurid sensationalism of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. TUSCAN ENCHANTMENT is very much at the Quality end of the Romance bookshelf.'
'I didn't expect the twist three-quarters of the way through the book and that ramped up the tension very well. A great book to read on holiday, or by the fire on a chilly English afternoon.'
