Book: Not Too Much by Philip G Henleycategories: Book, Love, Wealth, Money, London, Contemporary Romance
Philip G Henleyabout this book: A short contemporary romance on Kindle only. It features as lead characters Alex and V for Victoria. They have vastly different backgrounds and the story follows their attempts at a relationship despite their differences.
This is my second contemporary romance after Landscape. The title came from the excess that one of the lead characters has. Too much money causes its own problems whereas too little for the other lead.
I wanted the story to be light rather than my more serious thrillers. The research needed was mostly on properties and hotels in London so that the setting worked.
I find writing short romances a welcome distraction from my longer more complex stories. In this genre I can look at character interaction without needing a long complex plot to track. There is always a decision point on the relationships about how much to leave behind the door and how much to describe explicitly. I don't want Mills & Boon but I do want a softer air.
