K.L. Shandwickabout this book: The title of this book was chosen from a doubt Valerie had about herself and the main male protagonist, Flynn. Ready For Flynn is a love story told from the beginning. Flynn Docherty is a rock star. However, he was a college boy the first time he met Valerie Darsin. Valerie and Flynn shared an instant attraction, but Valerie was forbidden fruit, and for the first time in his life, Flynn did the right thing and walked away. Despite his attraction, Flynn's overriding feeling toward Valerie was to protect her. Time passes and Flynn and Valerie cross paths once again. This time its a test of his loyalty and ability to do the right thing once again. Flynn tells Valerie she isn't ready for him. Valerie thinks fears she may never be ready for Flynn. This is an emotional love story told from the beginning. A story of heartache and tragedy, trust, and an undeniable love. This book has been read by all ages so please don't be put off by the characters' ages. It will reduce you to tears, lift you, and bring a message of hope. I wrote this book because I wanted to challenge myself to write about the feelings of those on the cusp of adulthood who are emotionally mature, but fall between the cracks of adulthood and adolescence. I write rock romance, but I focus on the personal lives of those who live in the public eye and how this may impact the issues we could all face in our daily lives. I also wanted to show how tragedy can make or break us and how it can drive people to push themselves to succeed where others would roll over and give up. I choose the cover for this book because there is a scene with Flynn and a band bus in the book that is quite 'key'. The series is three books and the series took me six months to write in total. All the scenes in the books regarding concerts are my personal observations as I did work as part of a crew. I also used my experience of working with people for dealing with some of the emotional content.
