Kimberly Rose Johnsonabout this book: When I set out to write Island Hope I wanted it to be different from all my other books so I started with my female lead. She is a female in what is traditionally a man's trade and she has tattoos--not that tattoos are especially unique, but tit is unusual to see a character like Hope in one of my books. Hope owns her own electrician company and she has quite a few tattoos. Once I had her figured out it was easy to know who the male lead would be. I pulled him from book three in the Wildflower B&B Romance Series. He is a widower with a fifteen year old daughter who is in awe of Hope.
Coming up with titles is typically difficult for me, but this title was easy because all the books in the series begin with the word Island.
I think the most difficult thing for me with writing Island Hope was my timeline. I did not have much time to plot and get the book written, so I had to be extremely wise and diligent with my writing time. I am very pleased with how this story turned out in spite of the tight timeline I was working under.
