Book: His Outback Cowgirl (Wildflower Ranch Book 4) by Alissa Callencategories: Book, Small Town, Western, Sweet, Cowgirl, Contemporary Romance
Alissa Callenabout this book: His Outback Cowgirl is the fourth novella in my Montana-set Wildflower Ranch Series published by Tule Publishing. The inspiration for His Outback Cowgirl came from two rural places I have lived in – small town Australia and small town America. I wanted to write a book that showcased the common denominators between the two worlds – the natural beauty of the areas, the close-knit communities and the universal deep love for family. When Australian cowgirl, Bridie Willis, travels to Montana, despite the differing accents and night sky, she finds a world not so different to the one she'd left behind.
The most difficult scene to write was the one where Bridie lets go of her grief for her father. Loss is never an easy emotion to deal with either in fiction or real life. Thankfully Ethan shows Bridie that despite the loss and sadness that we may sometimes face the world is still full of beauty, hope and possibilities.
