Roger E. Brunerabout this book: 50-50 was my final unpublished manuscript, originally written around 2006. When I recently reread it I realized it has a lot to say to both men and women. But my writing has improved a lot since then, so it took some extensive editing and revising to bring it up to my current standards.
Even though each of my novels is my favorite at the time it's published, I honestly believe 50-50 is not only one of the very best, but one of only several with special appeal to men.
As tempted as I've been to refer to 50-50 as a romance, doing that would take away from the true significance of the story. It's definitely a love story at several levels, however. Don't miss the Prologue. It'll whet your appetite and make you want to keep reading.
I especially enjoyed working on the book cover. Be patient. You won't learn about the significance of the full moon for a while.
Like all of my novels, 50-50 is a Christian story. The spiritual elements are--shall we say?--a bit unusual. But everything falls together in a way you might not expect.
I think of my novels as being "quirky inspirational novels that both bless and entertain." I hope you will agree.
