Ruth Kyserabout this book: September Skies is a clean Christian Romance, written from the point of view of Susan Walsh, a young widow looking for something to do with her days. Since her husband's death several years earlier, she's been floundering, not knowing what to do with herself.
Then a job opportunity becomes available as a research assistant, editor/proofreader for History Professor William Connelly who is writing a book. When offered the job, Susan decides to go for it--even though she's not sure how easy Will will be to work for.
Susan's faith in God is inherent to who she is, and it bothers her to find out that William Connelly has little or no place in his life for God. She's not sure what makes the man tick, and worries when she's attracted to him.
Then a blizzard throws them together and they become friends. The real question is, can be they become something more than friends, or will Will's actions destroy what relationship they have?
This book is set in the state of Michigan -- my home state. Writing about the rural country and small town life of Michigan was a real job.
I hope my readers enjoy reading Will's and Susan's story as much as I enjoyed writing it, and I pray they will be uplifted and brought to a closer relationship with God in the process.
