Rai Lindsay-Wallaceabout this book: This book is about starting over. Taking the cards of life that have been dealt and making the best of it. Bad things happen to good people. Well, bad things happened to Ashley and her family. In one moment, everything changed. Father died. Lost their home. Mother on her sickbed. Ashely went from being a college student to caretaker/provider for her mother and four siblings. She was felt homeless, helpless and hopeless.
I came up with the title, based on the store in the book of Esther. Esther was put in a position and place, for the purpose of saving her people. Likewise, Ashely was put in a position of not only helping her family but her encounter with the principal had a domino effect of helping countless students in a poverty school. God used the bad things that happened in their lives and turned it around for their good, and for the good of others.
Lastly, God can take two opposite people, bring them together, and use them for His glory. Gregg and Ashely discover the true meaning of purpose and passion.
To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose.
