Book: Do I Ever! - A quirky romantic novel by Roger E. Brunercategories: Book, Divorce, Guilt, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Friendship, Deception, Virginia, California, Chastity, Christian Fiction
Roger Ellis Brunerabout this book: I've been divorced, and so has my wife, and we know it's not something pretty. It's even tougher when both parties are Christians who're trying to be true to biblical teachings.
But what if two couples who've been best friends for ages are going through a divorce and neither couple wants the other couple to learn about it. With one couple living in Virginia and the other in California, that shouldn't be a problem.
Uh, until one couple comes to visit, and both of them put on a still-happily-married charade.
But what if neither couple really wants the divorce? What if they simply need to sit down and talk honestly? Dealing with issues like pride and guilt can do a lot to help a relationship.
This novel is quirky. Whimsical. But also thought-provoking. It doesn't make light of divorce, no matter how quirky and whimsical it is.
Even though this book is written primarily for women, my intent was to write something men would enjoy, too.
The title has special significance, as readers will learn in the first chapter and then see referred to appropriately again at the very end.
