Ruth Kyserabout this book: This is a Christian Contemporary Romance set in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. I love this part of the country, so when I had the idea for this book, it was the obvious location to have it take place.
Ellie Hathaway, a Christian Romance Author, rents a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains--her goal is to finish her latest novel in time to meet her deadline. There she meets Lucas Hart, a widower haunted by the death of his wife.
I actually got the idea for this book from a story one of my friends told me about where they had spent their honeymoon. Although the cabin they stayed in was in the Rocky Mountains, the story planted the seed for this novel.
It takes me about six months to write a book from the first work to the point where it's ready to publish. About a month of that time is spent writing the first draft. The rest of the time is spent re-writing, editing, and proofreading. Oh, and doing research. So many times, the research is my favorite part of starting a new project. It give me the opportunity (and a good reason) to look into all kinds of places and cultures.
I hope my readers enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it!
