A Kid's Guide to China is one in a series of books for young readers (ages 8-12) about countries and cultures around the world, published by Curious Kids Press. Each colorful, easy-to-read book (8 ½ x 11) features dozens of photographs, maps, fun "Did You Know" facts, and more – all designed to introduce young explorers to the country, the people, and their culture. A Kid's Guide to China introduces kids to The Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and those lovable panda bears, which are only found in the mountains of central China. Other books in the "A Kid's Guide to..." series focus on Australia, Ancient Egypt, Costa Rica, England, France, Kenya (including a look at amazing African wildlife), and Thailand. Jack L. Roberts, founder of Curious Kids Press, is a former longtime editor at Scholastic Inc and Children's Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop), and author of dozens of nonfiction titles for kids of all ages. "Helping kids expand and enhance their awareness of the world they live in offers enormous satisfaction," he says.
