JA Angeloabout this book: A Trail of Honesty is a children's picture book that an adult can use to encourage an open dialogue with a 4 to an 8-year old child. This discussion would describe the potential negative consequences that could result from lying or displaying unsafe practices while camping or taking a nature hike. This book will illustrate that lying could result in personal harm or property damage. During the parent/child discussion, the parent (or adult) could explain that the resulting harm or damage could cost thousands of dollars to heal or replace. While hiking, A Trail of Honesty will show young children that animals -- while cute -- have the potential to harm people, if the animal feels threatened.
I wrote A Trail of Honesty as a part of my dad's eulogy. After the service, the pastor walked up to me and mentioned that I could turn my story into a children's book. It took me approximately seven years to decide to publish my book. After that, it took about a year to get it revised by an editor and develop the illustration ideas for the illustrator to create for A Trail of Honesty. There are over 15 illustrations within the 36 pages comprised within A Trail of Honesty.
