Carla Hesterabout this book: I came up with the idea of Charm School Girls when I noticed my niece's interactions with her young girlfriends. She enjoyed socializing so much and the interactions of the girls were so interesting that I decided to put it to paper.
As the book foretells, the Primrose School of Charm isn't as easy as it looks, these eight young girls soon find out. Charm and character-building are a must-have education for the girls who set their sights on joining the ranks of upper-crust society. The reader can learn a lesson from these girls as it gives new meaning to being in the right social circles.
In writing the book, I researched information on etiquette at the local library which I used as a guideline for the charm school in the book.
In the book, the girls had to learn to walk with a book on their head, thus the inspiration for the cover.
The primary target audience for my book is young girls, ages 9 to 15.
