Sarah Hillabout this book: Hi! I'm Sarah Hill, children's author and creator of 'The Whimsy Wood Series'. My books are classed as early/leveled readers, so are aimed at 5-8 year olds. Although children younger, older and the young at heart have certainly enjoyed reading and listening to my 'Whimsy Wood' books!
There are 35 books in my 'Whimsy Wood' series and these are divided into 5 sets each containing 7 books. Every book is written for a specific month in the calendar, so the flora and fauna change as you read through the series. There is a proverb hidden within each story for the reader to find, giving the book a real meaning. Finally, there is a map of 'Whimsy Wood' at the back of the book, for the reader to cut out and complete using what they've just read in the story and their imagination!
In 'Posie Pixie And The Christmas Tree', book 5 from my 'Whimsy Wood' series, we find loveable 'Posie Pixie' and quirky 'Wibble Woodlouse', entertaining the 'Whimsy Wood' carol-singers in Posie's copper kettle home. They talk about the "fan-fizzle-tastic fireworks party", which Posie had held outside her house the month before (this was in book 4, 'Posie Pixie And The Fireworks Party').
Then the conversation turns towards Christmas . . . . Suddenly, Posie realises that she's forgotten something jolly important, in preparation for the festive season! What could this possibly be I wonder??!! Find out in this fabulously festive next instalment and meet more of the adorable 'Whimsy Wood' characters!
According to Santa's elves, 'Posie Pixie And The Christmas Tree', is likely to be the most magical literary addition to any Christmas stocking this festive season!
