Vera Alexanderabout this book: Jimmy helps Father Christmas by making beautiful Teddy Bears. His secret was to sprinkle them with Fairy Dust. The Easter Bunny decided to ask Jimmy to make some Easter Bunnies for him. The last Easter Bunny used up all the scraps and got an extra helping of fairy dust. He has some scary adventures before settling safely with Della. When Della asks her daddy what his name is her Daddy tells her it is Easter. It was love at first sight. But little did they know that apart from being a bit magic Easter loves exploring and getting into mischief.
This is the first adventure in a developing series. 4 of the books are available on Amazon.with a fifth to be added soon.
The book is suitable for 0 to 8 year olds. The younger children will have it read by a parent or a teacher and the older child can use it as a reader.
My Granddaughter Della lives in the UK. They visited us in South Africa when she was 3. It was Easter time so I bought her an Easter bunny as a present. Della's bath time was a special time for us. During her last bath time she asked me to write to her because as she said "I am going far away. I live in Eng-e-land and you live in Souf Efrika." I promised to do this but was uncertain what to do. How do you write to a three year old? So I started writing adventures for her and her bunny.
I don't have any formal reviews for this series but Tape Aids for the Blind love them and want to put them onto a CD in English and have them translated into Zulu. So there must be some merit to them!
The wonderful illustrations in the book have been done by Manuela Cardiga an author in her own right!
