Accompanied by Koe Koala, and Pocket the Kangaroo, Wombat visits the Music Shed where the animals enjoy movement and rhythm discussions with Professor Anacrusis. But while they are busy working out note values, and playing with music notes in the train carriages, there is trouble brewing at the Music Shed.
So what really happens when some of the music notes decide to run away?
It should be a priority to teach children that music is incredibly important, whether they learn a musical instrument or not. And what I do know is that anyone interested in music, and especially anyone interested in becoming a musician will find this story about animals learning some music theory, quite irresistible.
With a background in general teaching and music teaching, I am always looking for new and interesting ways to maintain interest and motivation in the theory of music. And after many parents expressed interest in wanting to read storybooks about music to their children, I decided to write another story using our fun bush animal characters.
A story to make music theory less scary to those children who want to learn musical instruments but are over awed by the foundations behind it.
And I have discovered that, as we encourage kids to develop a love for music, they will inevitable learn more about it.
