I wrote this story as I really believe that very young children should understand the sounds and characteristics of some classical musical instruments. And yes, as a teacher I have found that young children think its 'cool' to listen to fun stories about animals learning about music.
Honestly, in my opinion music is a requirement for life, and so we need lots of stories about music to read to children.
Wombat's Musical Adventure is a real favourite with youngsters and their parents.
