about this book: Royal Prince Vince is a moral tale told with bright, fun pictures and a charming rhyming pattern. Follow the story of Royal Prince Vince, a spoiled little prince who throws tantrums that are upsetting the whole kingdom. His parents don't know what to do, so they turn to their subjects for help. And help does come from the most unlikely source, a peddler woman. She teaches Prince Vince that happiness is not about things, but about pride in accomplishment and being with people you care about.
In this modern age where children have so many things, yet depression and suicide among adolescents and teens is at an all-time high, this tale is timely. It reminds children and parents alike, that money indeed does not buy happiness. Pride in accomplishment will last longer than a paycheck. Being together is more important than getting a new video game system.
The book was something that I wrote in high school for a creative writing project and then got filed away for years. We were going through some difficulty with our oldest child when I came across it again and went... "Ohhhh ... " It was a lesson I had learned as a child, but that I had forgotten to pass on to my own children. When I read it with my kids they loved the story. They showed other friends who also loved the story. That is when I decided that this was more than just a high school creative writing project. This book needed to be published. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
