Kamon Therrienabout this book: While writing another book, a friend asked me: "I am sick of seeing garbage everywhere, can you write a book about that?" I replied that I write children's books and my friend added: "Yes a story for children, that is what I mean, write a picture book that all children can read so they can grow into more respectful users of the earth." And a few weeks later Mother Earth was on my working table.
The story is really easy to read, it's a picture book and the idea is to pass a message that all will understand. All children, even if English is not their mother tongue, will understand.
Joey Krit, the illustrator had used colored pencils to draw the pictures, adding a very special touch to Mother Earth.
The story illustrates the thousands worries of Mother Earth but finishes on a positive image where we can see children expressing their ideas on how we can use resources without abusing the generosity of Mother Earth.
