Al Marsigliaabout this book: Stella the Stowaway Starfish is a children's illustrated story book with a moral. It is the story of a starfish who was different than her peers and for this reason, they made fun of her, which made her very unhappy, to the point it caused her to run away from home. She becomes involved in a situation where later, by her actions, saves her village and redeems herself in the eyes of her family and friends. This book was written for children 3 to 6 years of age. It took several months to write edit and have the illustrations made. The cover is descriptive of the contents of the story. It shows Stella the Starfish skipping rope.
I wrote this book almost thirty years ago and sent it to various publishers at that time, who gave it great reviews but would only publish material submitted through an agent. Since I did not have an agent, I couldn't get it published until I recently self-published. I believe this book tells an entertaining story, which also teaches a valuable lesson in morality.
