Alvin Averyabout this book: How does God reward victims of atrocities? How does he restitute victims of terrible abuse? Is forgiveness desirable or even possible? And, what happens when those victims are society's most vulnerable members, children?
Veronica's Story is about a little girl who was abused and exploited by both her parents and strangers in Australia. Instead of protecting her, Veronica's parents allowed strangers to exploit and abuse their daughter sexually for monetary gain.
Things don't turn out how her parents or clients planned, though, because God unexpectedly takes Veronica's life in a car crash shortly before her 18th birthday and puts a stop to the abuse. The money that flowed into the family—from child sex trafficking—comes to an abrupt halt.
Although her body dies, Veronica suddenly finds herself in a very bright and peaceful environment: heaven. There, she feels more alive than during her short, miserable life on earth and begins the process of healing and understanding.
Transformed into an angel of God, Veronica, with the help of other angels and having been given access to the Akashic records, is able to untangle the Gordion knot that had been her life on earth. It is revealed to her that her mother had also been a victim of abuse as a child and that many of her tormentors had been abused in past lives.
Writing this book was emotionally taxing because I channeled it from Veronica. The analysis she makes, simply otherworldly, and the feelings that resonate throughout Veronica's Story are unique.
I align my hope with Veronica's that her words—resonating from the other side of the veil—will console and help past and current victims of abuse.
