about this book: How To Survive Your Sisters is a fun chicklit novel by the sister writing team, Pam Burks and Lorraine Campbell who wrote Looking For La La and When Good Friends Go Bad. Bridezilla Natalie MacLeod wants the perfect wedding but her three sisters aren't so keen on participating in the ordeal, especially since when all four get together, squabbles abound and fireworks are apt to explode. Milly, the only married sister, is battling with child-rearing, a mostly absent husband, and her dread of trying to fit into a bridesmaid's dress with the 'baby' weight she has yet to lose. Avril, a high-powered career woman, is distracted by her affair with a married man and Hazel, the young free-spirited backpacker throws a bomb into the already turbulent situation by turning up with an unexpected but all-too-familiar and none-too-welcome guest. Not to mention their father has a drink problem and their mother is prone to social gaffes every time she opens her mouth. As events unfold, a tragedy and a shocking secret will throw everyone off their predicted course and threaten to damage the MacLeod family forever. We wrote this book because being four sisters ourselves we wanted to explore the family dynamics that come with sisters, the love and hate aspects, the loyalty and the betrayals, similarities and differences between siblings. The characters are a little older than many chicklit novels and we hope we have managed to delve into some very real issues among the humor.
• 'Makes sibling rivalry funny.' — Cosmopolitan
• 'A cracking book with the entangled plot developing at great speed, one of the best in this area.' — BOOKSELLER
