Maggie Le Page

Author Maggie Le Pageabout this book: Office romances - we've all been there. Maybe it was a secret crush on the manager that never left your mind. Maybe it was a one-off thing at the Christmas party. Or maybe, just maybe, it was a chance meeting in the lift that changed your life forever.

There are plenty of office romance novels out there, probably because the whole subject is perfect fantasy fodder. And, let's face it, office romances do happen. A lot. A person's occupation is such a huge part of who they are that a shared work passion sometimes translates into shared passion full stop.

Of course, real life rarely goes according to plan, and office affairs inevitably come with complications - sometimes major ones. That's why I decided to write A Heat Of The Moment Thing. It's a story of one woman's decision NOT to get involved with her boss, and . . . well, you'll have to read it to see how that goes for Becky.

I love writing chick lit because it's the way I think. Like my heroines, I never have things sorted as well as I'd like. I'm still searching for answers – answers I'm not actually convinced I'll ever find – and I lurch through life in much the same way my heroines do: trying to get it right, making mistakes along the way, but hopefully coming out the other end with at least my sense of humour intact, if not my dignity.

What about you? Are you the picture of sortedness or faking it like me? I'd love to hear from you! Visit my website or find me on Facebook
