Alicia Hope

Author Alicia Hopeabout this book: As the owner of a pet cockatiel, I've come to know the joy of friendship with a 'tiel. :) He's a family member, companion, chatterbox, smarty-feather-pants, and a clown who gets me laughing most days.

Having pet birds who live inside with us has given me a greater appreciation for our feathered friends, even that most common of birds, the house sparrow or 'flying mouse' as some have christened it. Next time one lands on your cafe table, take a close look at it - you might be surprised by how beautiful a little brown bird can be, close up!

This heightened bird appreciation is what inspired me to write my latest series, The Cafe Birds. Book 4, A Pied Cockatiel (released 31 October 2015), features a cockatiel (no surprises there!), and reveals Caitlin's shocking revelation about her ex, an admission from Nita about her friend 'Dump Man', and Paige's romantic scheme for an unwitting Darius. And while all this is happening, Megan's secrets start to unravel. Yikes! I need that double-shot espresso, STAT!

Where's this all going? Don't worry, book 5 containing the final episode, is winging its way to you soon. :)
