Book: Career Savvy - Keeping & Transforming Your Job by Denise Kalm
categories: Book, Transformation, Inspiration, Fulfillment, Network, Passion, Coaching, Personal Growth, Career ManagementDenise P. Kalm

It's all based on what I call the "happiness intersection." While most of us (me included) know very clearly what we do like, most of us don't know as much about what we love and what we're good at. That's the intersection point. Everyone is good at a lot of things, but from that long list, there are only a few things we're passionate about. Career Savvy helps you figure this out and then create a path for transforming the job you have into one you love. There are many examples, including some of my own. This was my journey as well, so it isn't based simply on a theory I cooked up.
I started out on this journey writing articles for an IT magazine about career management based on working as a coach (my side job). After a while, it started to look like a book, but making articles work as chapters was a bit harder than I expected. Finally, I figured it out. Next, I had to decided - agent and publisher or do it myself. This was an easy decision - I could get it out in 6 months by myself and try to help all the people like me who were struggling to keep their job, but who also thought it could be better.
I did a ton of research as well as mining information from my coaching clients, friends and work colleagues. I challenge you - could your work life be better? When you do what you love and are good at, you are much happier AND much more difficult to lay off.
