Book: Camino Quotes and Poems - The Meaning of the Journey (Women on Her Way Book 5) by Jane V. Blanchardcategories: Book, Nonfiction, Travel, Camino, Hikes and Walks, Journey, Poems, Meaning, Spirit, Camino de Santiago
Jane V. Blanchardabout this book: I wrote this book to help people understand how meaningful the Camino de Santiago is, what is its appeal, and how it affects people. I used poetry and illustrated quotes to express the Spirit of the Camino and to give a sense of what it feels like to be on this journey across northern Spain.
For me and for many others, the Camino is a life-changing event. Often times, though, these changes are subtle and not immediately obvious. For some, the changes are spiritual in a religious sense; for others, they more of an awakening to one's relationship with nature and with fellow pilgrims. On the Camino, these epiphanies or insights are called "gifts." Through these poems and memes, I tried to convey what these gifts were to me and others and to let you feel the Spirit of the Camino.
In the book, A Peek at the Remarkable Camino de Santiago, I tried to help people see how remarkable the Camino is. In this companion book, I tried to help people feel the meaning of the Camino.
