Book Review: The Camino from Leon to Santiago - Short, practical and inspiring travel notes for a two-week uplifting experience along the Way by Ivinela Samuilovacategories: Book, Pilgrimage, Santiago de Compostela, Camino de Santiago
A great read for Camino novices
by author A. A. AlebraheemThis short book provides a good balance between narrative and useful information and is an excellent way to learn about the Camino first hand. Not only is it an inspiring read where you get an overall feel for walking the Camino, but it also includes a packing guide, insider accommodation tips and other helpful notes about what to expect and how things work along the way. If you are thinking about walking the Camino or planning your trip, this book will prove useful for the busy reader who prefers an informative story to a long list of what-to-dos and where-to-gos. It answers many questions that you may have and also offers helpful website references at the end. I enjoyed reading about the experiences of one pilgrim, learning about what the Camino entails and am now inspired to do it myself one day. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to do their own pilgrimage.
