Bruce Hodesabout this book: Greetings! My name is Bruce Hodes, President and Founder of CMI, and author of Front Line Heroes: Battling the Business Tsunami While Developing Performance Oriented Cultures.
Frontline Heroes: Battling the Business Tsunami while Developing Performance Oriented Cultures, is my first book. I wrote the book because I realized that it was the next step in my career. As I developed my career, I found that I could make a difference and contribute. The business climate is terrible and it impacts businesses. There are opportunities for businesses and ways to impact the face of media, so I wanted to write about them to help people. My purpose in writing and publishing my book was so that companies use it as a tool and get inspired to make create safe and straight forward cultures in their workplace. My book is based on tried and true ideas on growing/focusing organizations.
It is getting great reviews. Front line Heroes even made the top 100 management science books on Amazon. The book was recently reviewed in the Daily Herald Business Ledger and by B2B Marketing.
It took me about 2 years to write my book. My greatest sources of inspiration were my clients. My clients are the ones that asked the right questions and gave me the ideas. At times sticking to it was difficult. My promise to my writing group and my publishers helped me out with that.
Over the past 2 years I've learned that I can write and I might even like it a little! Publishing is easier than I thought and the resources were outstanding. I also learned that people really do learn from my book.
A little more about my company, CMI is dedicated to helping companies grow by developing work teams, business leaders and executives into powerful performers. I have an MBA from Northwestern University and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. As a business consultant and a former psychotherapist, I bring a diverse blend of skills and education to my work with teams, business leaders and executives.
