---
Children are going back to school and so is bullying. Parents and children need to be educated and prepared. The bully barn is not a typical children's story. On the contrary it is an entertaining story that is meant to be a teaching aid for parents and educators while also serving as an educational learning tool for everyone. Bullying needs to be defined/understood properly since the term bullying has been overused and abused. The key to alleviating bullying are the bystanders and agitators. They are much greater in number than bullies and often it takes only one person to make a difference. Since one cannot force children (or anyone for that matter) to "like" one another then the message is also one of tolerance. This story also contains discussion questions at the end as well as useful information/commentary on bullying.
