Kamon Therrienabout this book: I wrote the text and drew pictures of this book entirely on a smartphone. It took me nearly two months to make it but I really wanted a book to introduce mindfulness to children that was done without the use of paper and pencils. From some critics, I received the comment that because it is a digital book, it should have come in colors. I intended the book to be black and white. It is part of the message that I tried to pass to people through the eyes of a river stone which has been dislodged from her river bed to be packed in a bag and finally to end in a walking path.
Usually, I make readers laugh in my stories; passing a teaspoon of wisdom to children in funny stories. But I did not write the River Stone to make kids laugh. It is more of a reflection that I wanted from the readers. The River Stone introduces head space: Pausing before reacting. Choose your own colors to see it, freedom of imagination is required from who wants t read it. The book is available in both languages, English and French. :-)
