David D. D'Aguannoabout this book: In contrast to most of the other books in this series, this one reveals a perhaps surprisingly different side to Brett, especially towards the end of the novel.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that the reader is basically following two plots simultaneously. Therefore, as the creator of this work, I provided myself with the challenge of somehow finding a way to tie the strands of the two plots together in a convincing fashion so that they would both reach their climax at the same time; and I do think that I have succeeded in doing this.
Before writing this novel, I felt it necessary to acquaint myself with some boxing terminology that I was previously unfamiliar with, although I hasten to add that readers needn't worry about the possibility of having to grapple with overly technical matters in that regard.
Once I commenced the actual writing of this book, things flowed quite smoothly, and I hope that readers feel an urgent need to continue with the rest of the books in this series when they come to the rather emotional conclusion of this one.
