Michael Coppleabout this book: People say: "Studying the Book of Revelation will take forever!" or "The Book of Revelation is too difficult to understand, so why study it?"
DIGGING DEEP INTO THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST is a 234 page in-depth Study Guide to unlock the mystery of the Book of Revelation born out of a request from our Bible Study members. This request and Revelation 1:3 "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near" (NKJV) were my motivation to start writing and compiling the resources for this study guide. First, I put it together only as a study guideline for our local Bible study group. Later on in the process my wife and I talked about wanting others to be blessed by learning both of God's truths and of His warnings. And with all the madness, violence and divisions in today's society the Book of Revelation is remarkably relevant, and the time for Christ's return is surely imminent.
So we decided to try to turn it into an official Study Guide. We worked intensely on the layout in order to make it an easy to follow resource and at the same time make it stand out from other commentaries on the Book of Revelation, You, the reader/student, will have the Revelation Scripture text, its commentary, reference Scripture texts and commentary on the references side by side across two pages right in front of you at your fingertips. No more flipping pages in your Bible for the reference verses and in the course of it loosing track of where you were. We believe that this Study Guide, in this kind of layout, will benefit anyone striving to understand the Book of Revelation.
When it came to the cover design we wanted something that would convey the atmosphere of the coming tribulation period. My wife had this photo of a sunset which she took from her kitchen window when we lived in France. The sky looks a bit gloomy and the trees have no leaves. It suggests unpleasant times.
All in all, it took us about 2 years to collect and process all the information from various sources, put it into the best format possible, and get it published.
It is our prayer that you will be richly blessed through this Bible Study.
