Mariam Cheshireabout this book: His mother had to worry a lot to keep ahead of Fred's escapades. It was a challenge to please his pilot step-father but mistakes happen. Always moving, living on airports, until he found his first love in San Benito. Then another quick move, leaving behind books and Fiat, arriving in Phoenix where starting over would be a challenge for both mother and son. Teaching math, instructing Olympic archery, setting up the first computers and raising his two children made a full life until the diving accident at the age of 32.
On this day, three years ago (September 19, 2020) his wife and I waited at the hospital to find out if Fred would live or die. He left us on September 22, 2017, at the age of 72. In order to handle the pain, I wrote his biography. "There's Nothing I Can't Do - Fred's Story" follows this book. As a quadriplegic, confined to a wheelchair, he continued his life with even more force and direction.
All royalties from all of my books go to the Fred Cheshire Scholarship at Glendale Az Community College.
